Friendship are the oddest things They can wear you down or give you wings The ones who stick by you and stay true The ones who support you no matter what you go through

The ones who use what they find out The ones who gossip and sow seeds of doubt The ones who judge and talk behind your back The ones who help you pick up the slack

The ones who love you no matter what The one who always says to you "you're hot" The ones who fall by the wayside The ones who are false and are snide

The one who are honest and bear no ill will The ones who are with you still The ones who jump into help with all The ones who laugh to see you fall

The ones who share every single thing The ones who don't care that you can't sing The ones who hate and hold false witness The ones who offer advice on your fitness

They all teach us lessons over time If they betray that is their crime Don't let the ones who play you wrong Make you any different - just strong

Each person teaches us a thing or four Don't let the others make you raw Shrug it off and leave them behind You will be left with the gold you will find

The ones who love you for every part The ones with whom you share your heart They are the ones to hold onto with all your might They are the ones who lift you to your greatest height

Don't be afraid of what has been done by another Don't let the friendship you have to offer smother Shine so bright and let your light glow Friendships do not make you slow

They support you when you are down They make you laugh - they act the clown They sing badly right next to you The make things better that's what they do

So keep those true friends really close by They are the ones on whom you may cry They will snort laugh louder than you can They will be there always as your biggest fan
